Welcome to the Glossy Jungle of Beauty Oils
At Glossy Paradise, we're about natural beauty products that come directly from the source. What better source than Mother Nature herself in the Amazon Rainforest.
Locals in the Amazon do not have access to pharmaceutical medication or skincare products (like sunscreen or insect spray). It turns out they don't need it. In the depths of the Amazon rainforest, nutrient-rich superfoods have been healing the Amazon indigenous population for centuries. Your acai berry bowl? That's from the Amazon. Sacha inchi oil? Also from the jungle. It really doesn't stop there. A new wave of Amazonian superfoods are becoming more and more popular due to their unbeatable health benefits. Camu camu, maracuja, aguaje, raw cacao all aid with fighting off diseases, weight loss and improving your overall health.
In our case, we use natural cold-pressed oils from the amazon for healthier, younger, glowing skin.
Our aguaje oil (sometimes known as buriti oil) comes from a small community in the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. The reserve is located in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest and within the reserve all flora and fauna are protected. The community we work with relies on their aguaje oil production to sustain their community economically. They also practice a very eco-friendly way of cultivating and cutting the aguaje fruit from its tree. Our jojoba oil, rosehip oil and other essential oils are all naturally made in Peru. Many of our essential oils are made from plants endemic to the region.
About the Creator - Pats Krysiak
My name is Pats and I founded Glossy Paradise in 2017. I am based in Lima, Peru. In 2016 I took a few work trips to the Peruvian Amazon jungle where I met with a local shaman (medicinal healer), to learn about superfoods from the Amazon jungle. Being a wellness-freak and lover of all things exotic, I wanted to know everything and anything about local fruits, plants, herbs and their healing properties. Because of this, I became interested in the natural soaps, creams and oils the locals use to take care of their skin. It happened to be a time where I was suffering from regular breakouts and very sensitive skin. Never in a million years did I think that applying an oil to my oily skin would help solve my skincare woes. After trying aguaje oil out on a scar, I was completely hooked. I started experimenting with other oils like jojoba, maracuya and Andean rosehip, and all of the essential oils native to Peru. After taking the Organic Skincare Formulation Diploma, I came up with a few superfood skincare formulas that have worked very well for me and all of my friends and family. Glossy Paradise wants everyone to have happy, healthy and natural skin. I hope you enjoy your superfood oils from the Amazon jungle!
